U of R Biodiesel Bus
2008-2010
Advantage is excited to take part of a historic reality for four students at the University of Rochester. We are proudly sponsoring the University of Rochester's Biodiesel Bus!
UR Biodiesel began in the Fall of 2006, when four undergraduates: Chris Babcock '07, Dan Fink '09, Dave Borrelli '09, and Eric Weissmann '10 wrote a business plan for the Charles and Janet Forbes Entrepreneurial Competition. The idea was to take waste vegetable oil from campus dining centers and convert it into biodiesel to fuel a campus bus.
The idea turned into reality on April 22, 2009 when they launched a fully functional biodiesel bus at the University of Rochester. Below are pictures of the bus. For more information please visit the University of Rochester Biodiesel Bus.
