.Q: What is a CU Service Center?
 A:   A Shared Service Center is a credit union branch that is equipped to accept transactions from members of other credit unions.

Q: How do I know if a credit union is a participating Shared Service Center? 
A: Just look for the swirl logo on the credit union door.

Q: How do I use a Shared Service Center?
A: Simply present your Advantage credit union account number along with a government issued phot ID, such as a driver's license. The teller can then automatically link to your Advantage account and conduct deposits, withdrawals and transfer transactions as you need.

Q: How do I know what my AFCU account number is?
A:  Your account number is the 6-digit number given to you when you joined the credit union. The number was was mailed to you in your December statement, located on the bottom left side of the last page. If you have a checking account, your account number is listed on your checks. It is the first 6 digits from the second group of numbers located at the bottom of your checks.

Q: What do I need to bring with me to do a transaction at a CU Service Center?
A: You must present a valid, current government-issued photo ID and your Advantage account number. Both are required in order to complete a transaction. Acceptable forms of ID include: driver's license, non-driver photo ID, military ID, and passport. CU Service centers do not have the ability to look up your Advantage account number.

Q: Exactly what transactions can I perform at a Shared Service Center?
A: As a member of a participating credit union, you can make depo
sits and withdrawals, transfer funds, make loan payments, do balance inquiries, cash a check, and obtain money orders and travelers' checks.

Q: Is there anything I can't do at a CU Service Center?
A: You can't join the credit union or correct errors on your account; open, close, or make changes to your account or loan.

Q: Is there an additional transaction fee for using a Shared Service Center?
A: No. Members do not pay to use Shared Service Centers.
