Protecting the security and privacy of your online banking account is one of our highest priorities.  Fraudsters are continuously trying new ways to breach account information and attacks are on the rise.  We see that your online banking account is not using the minimum required security options to protect your account.

Effective November 1st, 2023, it will be required that you enable one or more of these additional security features to access online banking:

  • Multi-factor authentication code by phone call
  • Multi-factor authentication code by text message
  • Authenticator app on your mobile phone (iOS and Android)

We are seeing an increase in email accounts being compromised and so multi-factor authentication codes delivered by email are no longer considered strong security.  Authentication code delivery by email will be disabled on October 31st, 2023, to help better protect online banking accounts.

To continue using online banking it is required that you enable one or more of the features above.  Using an authenticator app on your phone is the best option, offering you the strongest protection currently available.

You can enable these features by logging in to your online banking account. (Not through the app) Click “My Settings” at the top right, then edit Security Options under the “Login & Security” section.

For more information or for assistance enabling these features, you can click on the help and common questions in the “Login & Security” section or call one of our member service representatives at (585) 454-5900, x5.
