When renting a car, we advise our members to make sure they are using a credit card, NOT a debit card.
If you use a debit card, the hold from the rental car agency will not allow your funds to be available, which could create a greater risk of over drafting your account.
We have recently changed our policy that you can no longer use debit cards at rental car locations. Due to an increase amount of losses, we had to modify our policy in order to protect our members and ourselves.
We are in the process of working out another solution. Credit cards are acceptable and are a safer transaction that provides more protection for our members.
